Custom Leather-Wrapped Oval Cocktail Table – Turquoise Blue with Gold Embossing

A striking custom cocktail table from the 1960s, covered entirely in turquoise blue leather with a fine-grained, pebbled texture that reads as both tactile and luminous under light. The oval racetrack top is framed by a continuous band of gilt-tooled embossing, running the full perimeter of the top edge and repeated along the apron seams, lending the piece an unmistakably artisanal character.

Four tapered legs arc gracefully from the apron in a splayed formation, their cutaway junctions adding sculptural lightness to what is otherwise a substantial form. The underside reveals a solid wood substrate with quality period joinery, confirming the custom provenance. Surface shows honest age-appropriate wear consistent with six decades of use; the leather retains excellent color saturation and suppleness throughout.
