Haas Mojave Vase – Blue

The Haas Brothers Mojave Vase in Blue is a striking piece from the celebrated collaboration between LA-based artist twins Simon and Nikolai Haas and luxury atelier L’Objet.

The vase takes a tall, tapered cylindrical form with a slightly angled open mouth. Two distinct surface treatments meet in a dramatic transition. The upper body is covered in a crawling, cellular glaze evoking cracked desert earth or reptile skin seen up close. The lower third shifts to deep blue-grey unglazed earthenware.The effect reads like desert flora pressing through stone. The two zones bleed into one another at mid-body, the glaze dissolving into raw texture.
