This dramatic smoky quartz crystal point rises from a naturally terminated, elongated form with strongly developed horizontal growth striations running the length of each prism face. The crystal displays the characteristic warm gray-brown smoky coloration associated with natural irradiation, deepening toward the base where a cluster of slender black prismatic crystals, consistent in habit with schorl tourmaline, is embedded directly into the quartz matrix. A band of sugary, golden-toned druzy quartz coats portions of the lower third, likely the result of light iron oxide staining on the drusy crystal surfaces, adding textural contrast against the smoother, more translucent upper faces. Several smaller included crystals and internal fractures are visible along the body, typical of a natural, uncut specimen of this scale.
