The Lunar Globe – Dragonette Private Label

The Lunar Globe is a hand-built ceramic orb created through a collaboration between Dragonette Private Label and Los Angeles ceramicist Titia Estes.

The sphere is assembled from hundreds of individually hand-cut ceramic tiles, laid in tight, brick-like rows across its surface. Varying sized circular cutouts punctuate the form, revealing a gold-painted interior that glows warmly through each opening. The piece rests on small brass feet.

Because each globe is built entirely by hand, slight variations in tile placement and proportion are inherent to the work. Custom variations are available. Contact the showroom to discuss options or request a quote.

Titia Estes is a Los Angeles based ceramic artist with over 15 years of practice. She works from a studio in downtown LA and is known for sculptural vessels built around geometric forms drawn from both the natural world and man-made structures. Her work is marked by complex hand-built construction, contrasting textures, and raw clay surfaces. She is represented at galleries and design stores across the U.S., teaches hand-building workshops in the Los Angeles area, and collaborates with interior designers and design firms on commissioned works.
