The Portofino Chair – Dragonette Private Label

The Portofino Chair is a chic dining chair from the Dragonette Private Label collection, and two are currently available upholstered in cream faux leather. The Portofino references Paul Frankl’s iconic Speed chair, a streamlined design with a raked profile meant to suggest motion.

The chair features a generously padded seat and back with a gently reclined profile. Its most distinctive detail is the triangular arm construction. The arms angle outward and taper sharply, giving the piece a sense of forward motion and sculptural personality. Piped seaming adds a tailored finish throughout. The legs are tapered and finished in cerused oak, lending a sun-bleached quality that suits the cream palette beautifully. It works equally well as a dining table or as an accent chair.
